Wanderlust Wednesday: Tokyo, Japan

Hey Dandy Lovers!

Happy Wanderlust Wednesday! Today we are exploring one of the craziest, quirkiest cities in the world...Tokyo! My family was lucky enough to be stationed in Camp Zama while I was in elementary school, which is right in the middle of the city. Thanks to my early Japanese upbringing, I learned to throw up peace signs in every single picture AND it was also the start to my extreme Hello Kitty obsession.

There is so much to do, but if you ever head to Tokyo there are a few things you MUST do, which includes karaoke, eating at a sushi bar, Fuji-Q Highland amusement park, visiting a many a garden and shrine, hitting up Sanrio Puroland (for my fellow Hello Kitty crazies) and last but not least, shopping and people watching in Harajuku!

Awesome view of Mt. Fuji

Japan has the coolest marketing, display ideas EVER

Just an average stroll in Tokyo

Cherry blossoms (sakura) are a Japanese staple

So many people, so many umbrellas

Who in the world can resist a meal from a hello kitty themed restaurant?

The entrance to Sanrio Puroland! This is literally heaven on earth for any Hello Kitty/Sanrio lover. I went with my girl scout troop on a field trip back in the day...imagine twenty brownies running around hello kitty land. Cray cray!

True Harajuku girls...Gwen Stefani knows whats up

The best gardens and shrines in the world

Fuji-Q Highland Amusement park is literally right next to Mt. Fuji

We hope you have an amazing Wanderlust Wednesday! Make sure to find time to get outta town as often as possible. The world is an amazing place, and we all have a lot to see!
